Laura

Cube jockey by day, Jill of all trades by night and weekends.  I am a little bit flaky and easily distracted.  I started this blog to document the process of restoring my old house, but quickly realized that I like to blather on about many other things too.  That, and I don’t work on the house fast enough to fill up this space.

Mike

My partner in crime and biggest cheerleader.  Mike is disciplined, punctual, organized, and doesn’t hoard stuff – everything I am not and want to be.  Ok, so maybe I don’t really want to be punctual.  He can usually be found doing anything related to triathlons or watching the weather channel.  Seriously.

Tug

Spry for his age and a real charmer, Tug the St. Bernard gets a lot of attention. Once an avid rabbit and bicycle chaser, these days he can usually be found napping in whatever is the coolest spot in the house. A Scorpio, Tug’s interests include swimming in the lake, drooling and taking long walks in the neighborhood.

Ed Begley, Jr. (aka Eddie)

Eddie had been left in the dog park overnight when Mike and Tug stumbled across him. He happily got in the truck and quickly settled in at his new home where Mike spent the next few days trying out names to see if he could guess what it had been. The only thing he answered to was Ed Begley, Jr., so it stuck. Eddie’s hobbies include patrolling for squirrels, chasing tennis balls and barking at the mail man.

Minnie

Minnie found her way into the family when a lady was trying to get rid of her in the parking lot where my running group met, and I figured I could give her a better life. Three months later she wound up in a tussle with a bobcat or cougar while swimming at the lake. She got a broken leg, and I got the scare of my life and a giant vet bill. She is a little bit nuts, but worth every penny. She spends her time running laps through the house and sleeping on the couch.

Pee Jay

Pee Jay the sock monkey joined the party after his older brother Plepleus was abducted from a triathlon in Galveston. Pee Jay enjoys traveling wherever someone will take him and sampling the local beverages wherever he goes. He watches animal planet on TV in his spare time.
